Research commercialisation income is indicative of a mutually beneficial arrangement between an institution and a research end-user. Data for this indicator came from each institution’s ERA 2018 submission data. As in ERA 2018, research commercialisation income was defined as income from:
- institution-owned subsidiaries
- spinoff companies
- licences, options and assignments.
Research commercialisation income is displayed as a distribution. Each chart shows the number of UoAs in each band and each band is exclusive of its value. For example, 01 Mathematics 2 UoAs had income greater than, or equal to, $1 and less than $50,000.
Note: see EI 2018 Submission Guidelines and EI 2018 Assessment Handbook for more information on the EI indicators.
